The fifteenth meeting of Templum Phoenix Lodge No.57 will be held on June 24th, 2023 in the quarters of the Masonic Hall, 907 Prospect Street, Fredericton, N.B. commencing at 1:00 pm sharp.

The in-lodge speaker will be Brother Kevin Belliveau whose topic will be  Is Freemasonry Really an Initiatic Order?”  We’re well aware as Freemasons that the initiation is an important step in our Masonic journey. We talk at great lengths about the importance of guarding the West Gate. How good are we at either? This short talk will delve in to some other orders that are similar to us that can provide some insight in to what other orders have done in the past, and how we hold up to their practices and standards.

The Festive Board speaker will be Brother Wayne Hitchcock whose presentation will illuminate some of the thoughts of Walter Leslie Wilmshurst and Manly P. Hall as to the reason that Freemasonry exists, what it has to offer Freemasons today and how that connects to such esoteric studies as Initiatory societies, Kabbalah, Alchemy and Gnosticism. In the process the history and beliefs of the Gnostics, both ancient and modern, will be brought forward as thoroughly as time will allow. This talk is meant to inspire the curious mind to explore their thoughts on Freemasonry in light of possible benefits that today we barely recognize, much less study and support

The menu for the Festive Board is as follows:

Salted watermelon salad with mint, almond, cucumber and chilli
